I think we can all relate when I say that there are periods in our spiritual lives when we forget the weight of how good God is even though we understand that He is always good. At least I've gone through plenty of those seasons when my eyes seem to casually glance over words that were once so very sweet to read. Even though there is always more that we can be doing better with, that's never the point. We just need to remember God's love and who He is.
These are some verses that I've skimmed through time and time again, but today God gave me the grace to remember the depth of his love for me. Thankful for grace to see.
"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." Romans 8:1
"And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28
"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? ...No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angles nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus or Lord." Romans 8:35-39
