My heart, your home

I don't consider myself to be the creative or crafty type. But lately I've been getting the urge to do more things homemade. I've been enjoying my time at blog sites such as Lisa Leonard   (Richard surprised me with one of her necklace designs earlier this year) and The Nester who says that things don't have to be perfect to be beautiful.  They've been inspiring me to think more about what it means to build your home to be a dwelling place by first centering your home around God's love and then crafting it to be your beautiful domain. I'm working on both aspects and I anticipate it to be a lifelong learning.

Anyway, all this to say that I've recently made a doormat. LOL! A simple project, but something I've been wanting to do after reading about it on Lisa's blog.

First, I cut out stencils by printing letters on the computer, and cutting them out was harder than I expected. But here they are ~

Then paint away! I was so nervous that it wouldn't come out the way I wanted.

 Voila, the finished product!

 Enter love <3
