Recovery update & Sweet findings

My knees are still stiff and sore from this past Sunday, but I've been recovering well from my half marathon. It still boggles my mind that we ran 13 miles. AHH! =) Anyway, this past weekend was so full. We had the pleasure of hosting Jen & Andrew for 4 nights and then Richard's cousin Joyce stayed with us last night and introduced us to a good eat on 4th street, O Chame. Their simmered beef shoulder udon soup was unbelievably delicious, especially perfect with the chilly weather. We topped off our night with a scoop of Ici ice cream. I was happy with my nutmeg. Needless to say, it was a packed few days. After all that fun, it's kind of nice to just sit here. :)

In other news, I've come across some sweet findings the past couple days.

1. Priscilla Ahn
* Recently, I've been spending a lot of time with Christine.M to prepare for our marathon and also to celebrate our victories thereafter with fries and cupcakes. While riding in her car last Saturday, she had Ingrid Michaelson playing and we talked about other various artists we liked.  Somehow Priscilla Ahn came up in the conversation for a brief moment but nothing more than the mention of her name. I've heard of her name once or twice before but never really got around to listening to her music. In the office yesterday I was working on excel and decided to listen to some music to keep me from falling asleep, and for some reason Priscilla Ahn popped into my mind. And I couldn't stop listening. Still listening now! Her music complements my mood lately and her voice soothes my sore body.

2. Aldo Brendal Boots
* I've been searching for a pair of brown boots since LAST fall. Richard bought me a pair of Steve Madden's Intyce last Christmas because I really loved the way they looked. Unfortunately it didn't quite have the right fit for me. This fall I continued my search for a perfect pair and paid many visits to Steve Madden, Nordstroms, Aldo, DSW, DB shoes, BR, and online stores only to try on a million pairs but never to take one home. BUT! Today, I found my boots @ Aldo.

They are cute, comfy, motorcycle boots. Apparently, Cameron Diaz has a pair but I had no idea until the salesman told me. I haven't decided 100% if I'll keep them, but hopefully it'll work out because my hunt for boots need to end asap.

Thanks for reading! Till next time, see you.

  3. i have these boots but mine are about 2 years old now!
they are super comfy, except they started sagging after some time (surprisingly not for a while unlike other pull on boots i've had)..
and make sure to water proof them before it starts raining a lot
(not b/c the water soaks through but b/c the color of the leather will change if they get wet) =P

i'm STILL on my hunt for THE perfect boot.
