Our First Christmas

Christmas was especially exciting this year because it was our first being married. Richard and I started new traditions for our family and we hope to continue them when we have kids! We got our very own Christmas tree and went crazy at Target buying all our Christmas decorations. I really missed the smell of pine. I can't even remember the last time I had a real tree! So waking up to the smell of pine each morning was pure bliss.

Here's our beautiful douglas fir pine tree and Richard excited to give it some character.

Our first Christmas together :) I love you, hun. God willing, many more to come!

Aside from our first Christmas, we naturally have a lot of "firsts" being newlyweds. As we're both learning what it means to build a solid foundation for our marriage, family, and home, I'm reminded that there is room for much grace. We're bound to make mistakes and we'll probably make a lot of them. But I'm humbled as I realize how dependent I am to God to guide our first, second and third steps. At the same time, I'm super excited to see how He'll write our story.
