Help Haiti

When I first heard about the earthquake in Haiti, I couldn't fully grasp how destructive it was. After I saw pictures and videos of the aftermath I still had a hard time understanding what life would be like if I had lost everything. It was so easy for me to move on with my regular and comfortable life here, on the other side of the world. At best, what happened in Haiti was bad news. And it's shameful that I could be so numb, isn't it?

But I knew that I wanted to help in the small ways I could. And that's what we did. Richard and I gave to Compassion's Haiti Earthquake Relief efforts. I've been encouraged by how so many people around the world have been donating their dollars to help Haiti. But there's a lot more help they could use. So if you haven't given yet, I hope you do. I've learned that when you act first, your heart will follow.
